I'm sick to death of seeing Starbucks edge out much more pleasant places with couches, books and a more comfortable style. Every neighborhood I've lived in becomes a magnet for trouble when a Starbucks opens. Thugs, gangbangers and yahoos congregate around these strip-mall style shops like files around poop. Years ago there were mom-and-pop style coffehouses that were nicer and felt really homey. You knew who the people were that ran it and they knew you. Starbucks ruins neighborhoods. DOWN WITH STARBUCKS!!!
I LOVE Starbucks, literally LOVE. I saw a little sign about the post 2pm drink deal and was thrilled. Now I just have to figure out how I can justify having two delicious drinks a day!
I try not to go there more than once a day, but it is hard to resist a cold drink on the way home from work. The $2 deal they are doing sure works for me...

They built it because they knew some day, the train would come.” – Under The Tuscan Sun

That's quite cool. I don't go there more than once a day though. The drinks are rather fattening.
